Some important details of the UPPSC PCS Exam 2024 are: 

• The applications was submitted online from 1st January 2024 to 2nd February 2024.
• The candidates will undergo 3 stages of the selection process - Prelims, Mains, and Interview process.
• From the 2023 cycle onwards, The UPPSC Mains Exam Pattern was revised in the previous cycle. The optional subjects were removed and two papers on General Knowledge of Uttar Pradesh have been added. The exam now has 8 compulsory papers.

7th March 2024: UPPSC PCS Exam dates Postponed!

UPPSC PCS Exam dates has been postponed. For the 2024 Cycle, the exam was scheduled for 17th March but now the said examination is postponed due to unavoidable reasons. It is likely to be held in the month of July. 

23rd January 2024: UPPSC PCS Result Out

The UPPSC has announced the UPPSC PCS Result. This is the final result for the 2023 cycle. The link to download the result PDF is given above.

12th January 2024: UPPCS Exam Date Out

The UPPSC PCS Exam Date has been announced for the Prelims. The UPPCS Prelims 2024 will be conducted on 17th March 2024.

22nd December 2023: UPPCS 2024 Mains Result!

UPPCS 2023  Mains results Out on 22nd December 2023. The UPPCS Mains took place from 26th to 29th September 2023. Selected candidates will appear for the interview round.

UPPSC PCS Application Process 2024

Candidates can apply for the UPPSC PCS exam in online mode only. To steps to fill out and submit UPPSC PCS Application Form are as follows:

Step 1: Visit the UPPSC One Time Registration Portal.

Step 2: First complete the OTR Process by providing the required details. You will then get your registered ID & password. Make sure you use a valid email ID, which you have to keep active until the final declaration of result.

Step 3: Once OTR is done, login and proceed to fill out the UPPSC application form. Fill in the mandatory fields like name, address, contact details, educational details etc., very carefully.

Step 4: Upload your scanned photograph and signature as per the format mentioned in the official notification. To optimize the size of these documents you may use Tesbook's UPPSC Photo Cropping Tool.

Step 5: Submit the UPPSC Online Application Form.

Step 6: Take out a Print Out of the Application Form for future reference. 

Note: As per the official UPPSC Notification, if the Commission finds the provided application information as untrue/false, the respective candidates will be debarred from sitting in not just the current exam but also in other future exams conducted by UPPCS including other penalties as deemed fit.

UPPSC PCS Application Fee 2024

To complete the UPPCS application process one must pay the required application fee on or before the deadline for online applications. The UPPSC PCS Application Fee for various categories is as follows -

• General/OBC/EWS - Rs.125
• SC/ST - Rs.65
• PWD - Rs.25
• Ex-Servicemen - Rs. 65
• Dependents of the Freedom Fighters/According to their original category
  Women/Skilled/Outstanding Sports Person: According to their original category

UPPSC PCS Selection Process 2024

The selection process for UPPCS Recruitment 2024 will comprise the following 3 stages:

1. Preliminary Examination 
2. Mains Examination
3. Interview.

• The Preliminary exam will be of an objective type. There will be multiple choice-based questions on the Preliminary Exam. There will be a total of two papers for 200 marks each.
• The Mains exam will have descriptive questions. The candidates have to write full-fledged answers in this round. 
• The last round of the selection process will be the Personality Test (Viva-Voce).

UPPSC Exam Age Limit

The age of the candidates applying for the UPPSC PCS examination must be within the age limit mentioned below.

UPPSC PCS Exam Pattern for Prelims & Mains 2024

UPPSC Prelims Exam Pattern 2024

UPPSC Prelims Exam will be conducted in 2 papers, Paper I and Paper II. Both papers will be of 200 marks each. However, Paper I will consist of 150 questions and Paper II which is qualifying in nature will have 100 questions.

• For each wrong answer, 1/3 (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
• No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
• The minimum marks to qualify Paper II are 33%.

UPPSC Mains Exam Pattern 2024

As per the UPPCS Mains Exam Pattern, there will be 8 compulsory papers for the UPPSC PCS Mains. These will include a paper on Hindi, Essay, and six papers on General Studies. The details of the same are indicated below.

UPPCS Exam 2024 - Interview Pattern

The final stage of the selection process will be the Interview. It carries a weightage of 100 marks. The test will relate to the matter of general interest keeping the matter of academic interest in view and for general awareness, intelligence, character, expression of power/personality and general suitability for the service.
