SSC CGL Recruitment 2024 Notification to be out on 11th June 2024. Along with the release of the offical notification, the SSC will also activate the apply online link. Candidates will be able to fill in their application forms until 10 July, 2024. The SSC had released the previous SSC CGL Notification for a total number of 8440 vacancies. SSC CGL Exam is one of the toughest exams in India. It is a graduate-level exam conducted in 2 phases i.e. Tier 1 & Tier 2. Tier 1 is qualifying in nature. Tier 2 has paper 1, paper 2 and paper 3 out of which paper 1 is compulsory. Tier 1 has been made qualifying from this year. Final merit would be based on the marks obtained by the candidates in SSC CGL Tier 2, 3 and 4 examinations.

SSC CGL (Staff Selection Commission - Combined Graduate Level Examination) is a national level competitive examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to recruit eligible candidates for various Group "B" and Group "C" posts in different Ministries/Departments/ Organizations of the Government of India. It is conducted annually to select candidates for various posts like Assistant Section Officer, Inspector of Income Tax, Central Excise Inspector, Assistant Audit Officer, Accounts Officer, Assistant Enforcement Officer etc. Shortlisting of candidates in the SSC CGL Exam is done through a four-tier selection process. Every year, over 20 lakh students appear for the SSC CGL Exam and only 5% of the candidates make it to the final merit list, making it one of the top most competitive examinations in the country.

The age limit varies for different posts and according to the categories of people. SSC has recently increased the age limit for SSC CGL 2024 recruitment. The minimum age limit has been relaxed from 20 years to 18 years. The maximum age limit is set at 32 years for the unreserved category. Step 2- Fill the application form with the required details i.e. Personal, Educational, Post Name, etc.

The SSC is likely to release the SSC CGL Admit Card 2024 in the last week of August/first week of September for the Tier 1 exam scheduled in September-October 2024. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards from the official website by entering their registration details. The admit card will mention exam date, time, center details and guidelines. Candidates must carry a printout of their admit card along with a valid photo ID proof to the exam center, failing which they may not be allowed to sit for the exam. The Staff Selection Commission declares the SSC CGL Result 2024 in a phase-wise manner on the official website. The SSC CGL Tier 1 Result is expected by November 2024. Only those who clear the CBT will be shortlisted for the Tier 2 exam scheduled in late 2024 or early 2025. Following Tier 2, the shortlisted candidates will appear for Tier 3 (descriptive paper). The final SSC CGL result comprising the scores of all four stages will be declared by mid-2025. Candidates can check their scores by entering registration number/roll number in the result link. The qualified candidates will be called for document verification and medical test.

HRA is provided to the employees to meet their house rent needs. House rent allowance varies according to the city and is classified into 3 categories. HRA shall not be less than Rs. 5400/- pm, Rs. 3600/- pm and Rs.1800/- pm at X, Y & Z class cities respectively.
HRA shall be revised to 27%, 18% & 9% of Basic Pay in X, Y & Z cities when Dearness Allowance (DA) crosses 25% and further to 30%, 20% and 10% of Basic Pay in X, Y & Z cities when DA crosses 50%
The Dearness Allowance is a cost of living adjustment allowance and is currently 17% Of basic Pay under the 7th Pay Commission. The union cabinet has increased the DA to 17% in October 2019.
