The company is seeking experienced candidates in the field of Coal Mining for a fixed-term employment (FTE) basis. The position of Mining Overman requires candidates to oversee daily mining operations, ensure safety protocols are followed, and manage a team of miners. NTPC Mining Overman Application Process

To apply for a job of Mining Overman, applicants must follow these steps:

Step 1: Visit the website careers.ntpc.co.in or the careers section at www.ntpc.co.in to apply for the Mining Overman position at NTPC.

Step 2: Pay the non-refundable application fee of Rs. 300/- if you belong to the General/EWS/OBC category. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/XSM category/Land oustee & female candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

Step 3: If you wish to pay the application fee offline, approach a nearby SBI branch with a printout of the pay-in-slip, which is available on the application portal.

Step 4: Alternatively, candidates can pay the application fee online through Net banking/Debit Card (Rupay Debit Cards Only)/Credit Card. The online payment option will be available in the online application form.

Step 5: Verify your eligibility criteria before paying the application fee as the fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Step 6: After applying online, download the application slip generated by the system, which contains a unique application number.

Step 7: Retain a copy of the application slip for future reference.

Step 8: It is mandatory that eligible candidates go through the full text of the advertisement and agree to all the conditions given while applying for the post.

NTPC Mining Overman Selection Process 2023

The selection process for the Mining Overman position involves two tests, namely the Written Test and Skill/Competency Test. The NTPC Mining Overman Selection Process 2023 will contain the following stages

• Written Test
• Skill / Competency Test

Candidates who successfully clear the Written Test will proceed to the Skill/Competency Test, which is also worth 100 marks.

The final selection will be based on the candidate's performance in the Written Test, provided that they meet the qualifying criteria of at least 40% for General/EWS candidates and 30% for SC/ST/OBC candidates in both tests. Shortlisted candidates will be issued an admit card specifying the venue address for both tests, which will be held at Test Centers in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

The candidates who wish to attend the recruitment test must meet the educational qualification, age limit, etc. Applicants who do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be considered for the recruitment.

NTPC Mining Overman Age Limit

The Upper Age Limit for Mining Overman position is 30 years as on the last date of online application submission at careers.ntpc.co.in the portal for General (UR) & EWS category candidates. Age relaxation for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category is 3 years, for SC/ST category is 5 years, and for Land Oustee is 5 years. Educational Qualification

Full-time regular Diploma in Mining from an Institute of repute with a minimum 60% (For SC/ ST - minimum marks in academic qualification shall be pass marks) and Overman Certificate of Competency under CMR from DGMS for coal. Valid First Aid Certificate issued by Institutes recognized by DGMS. The candidate also required experience in the relevant discipline for one year.

The examination is conducted for 100 marks and a total of 100 questions are asked. The test duration is between 1 to 2 hours, and negative marks will be deducted for incorrect answers.
