KPSC has released the exam dates. The exam for both Paper I and II will be conducted on 28th July 2024. Candidates can check the time and subject of exam in the official notification.
KPSC has released the application link. Candidates can now apply online from 18th March to 17th April 2024.
The KPSC recruits the candidates for the post of Assistant Controller in Karnataka. The number of KPSC Assistant Controller vacancies 2024 is 15. The vacancies for Assistant Controller (HK) is 6 and the vacancies for Assistant Controller (RPC) is 48.
The mode of application for the KPSC Assistant Controller is online. Only the eligible candidates can appear for the KPSC Assistant Controller Exam.
The candidates must keep some required documents ready before applying online for this post. These documents include a passport-sized photo and a scanned signature. Follow the below-given simple steps to apply online:

The candidate applying for the KPSC Assistant Controller post needs to go through three stages of recruitment. The selection process consists of 3 stages: Prelim examination and Main examination, Personal Interview, and Document Verification.
This is the first stage of the selection process. It consists of 2 papers: Paper-I and Paper-II. Paper-I is General Studies based paper carrying 150 marks and Paper-II contains questions on Commerce & Management carrying 300 marks. Both the papers occur for 2 hours each.
The candidates who clear the Prelims stage will be eligible for the Main examination. The Mains Examination consists of 8 papers. Paper-I carries 150 marks, Paper-II carries 150 marks, and Paper-III to Paper-VIII each carries 300 marks. Each of these papers occurs for a duration of 3 hours.
The candidates are shortlisted for the personal interview based on the Mains Examination. In a Personal Interview, the candidate’s professional knowledge is tested to understand if the candidate is expert enough to join the post. The candidates who clear the Personal Interview need to get documents verified in the Document Verification stage.
This is the final stage. Candidates need to show all their documents and get them verified. The candidates unable to show the documents in the Document Verification stage will get rejected and those who will get all the required documents verified will be able to join the post. Candidates applying for the KPSC Assistant Controller Exam need to meet some eligibility criteria. The eligible candidates will get the chance to appear in the written examination. The basic eligibility criteria for the KPSC Assistant Controller are M.Com (Financial Analysis), MBA, or Masters (Financial/Finance Management) from any recognized university.
The KPSC Assistant Controller Salary ranges from Rs 52,650 to Rs 97,100 as per 7th Pay Commission and based on the responsibilities and duties assigned to candidates. The salary for the post of Assistant Controller is as per the rules and regulations of the government and subject to change as per the norms of the government.

Part 1: Accounting, Auditing, and Taxation
The KPSC Assistant Controller Exam Pattern is different for the Prelims and Mains Examination.
It is an objective type test which is the selection process for candidates for the main examination. The Prelims paper has 2 papers carrying 150 marks and 300 marks respectively.

It is a written exam. The Mains examination has 8 papers, Paper-I and Paper-II carrying 150 marks each, and the rest of the papers carry 300 marks each.
The marks in compulsory papers i.e., in Kannada and in English, are qualifying in nature. To qualify in these papers, a minimum of 30% in each paper and 35% aggregate is prescribed. The marks obtained in these two papers are not considered while preparing a merit list. Candidates who do not secure the prescribed marks in the qualifying papers, Kannada and English, are not eligible for the personal interview.
