The HP PGT Admit Card has been released on 30th April 2024. This is for the exam scheduled on 12th, 13th and 19th of May 2024. The written exam for  English, Political Science, Economics, History, Biology, and Chemistry subjects will be held on 8th, 9th, 11th & 17 June 2024 and on 17th and 21st July 2024 respectively.  The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC ) has announced 585 vacancies in the HP PGT (School Lecturer) Recruitment. These vacancies are for various subjects like Commerce, Biology, Hindi, English, etc.  

• Candidates with a Masters degree in concerned subject and B.Ed, qualification are eligible for this post.
• The selection process includes a written test and document verification.

29th April 2024: HP PGT Exam Dates Out

The HP PGT written exam schedule for various subjects has been announced. The exam will be held in June and July for English, Political Science, Economics, History, Biology, and Chemistry subjects. The detailed schedule is given in the attached PDF.

The HPPSC Has announced the exam date for the written exam of HP PGT Mathematics. The exam will be held on 19th May 2024.

The selection of candidates for the HPPSC Lecturer (School) post will be based on the following stages:

• Written Test/ Screening Test
• Document Verification.

HP PGT Eligibility 

Before applying for the HP PGT Recruitment, candidates must ensure that they fulfil the required eligibility criteria in terms of their age, qualification, etc. The details of the HP PGT Eligibility Criteria are given in this section.

HPPSC PGT Age Limit

The age of candidates applying for the HP PGT Exam must be within the following limit:

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 45 years.

HP PGT Qualification

• Postgraduation in concerned subject
• B.Ed

• Integrated MA/M.Sc. Ed.

• Paper 1 will have 50 questions for 100 marks. This section is only qualifying in nature.
• Paper 2 carries 100 questions for100 marks.
• All questions in the exam will be objective-type.
